German Cryptocurrency Nuri’s failure

German cryptocurrency exchange Nuri was founded in 2015 under the name Bitwala with the purpose to make Bitcoin spendable. 

Nuri has closed its business after fighting to find investors.

German crypto will keep going trading services until the end of November and has motivated users - that are 500.000 - to remove their finance before mid-December.

In August Nuri had informed its failure because for economic insolvency of Crypto Winter. 

Cristina Walcker-Mayer - Nuri CEO - said “Nuri is closing down its business operations. We ask our customers to withdraw their funds and assets as of 18.12.2022. Thank you for having been part of the Nuri community!”

Nuri’s still optimistic on the capacity of blockchain-based financial services.
