Altman: South Korea could be a possible investment market

Sam Altman - OpenAI CEO - on June 9th met the South Korean President. 

Sam Altman wants to involve South Korea on the realization of the chips needed for artificial intelligence (AI) tech. 

Altman also expressed his interest on Korean startups and collaborations with chipmakers like Samsung.

“We are actively exploring avenues to increase our investment in Korean startups.“

The OpenAI CEO affirmed that AI rests on transferring Big Data and this implies an increase in demand in the chip market. Altman said that OpenAI is currently buying memory chips directly from Taiwan but will soon need reinforcements from Korea.
