Liechtenstein: Bitcoin payment is coming

Liechtenstein Prime Minister Risch said Bitcoin was soon being considered as a useful cryptocurrency in government service payments.

Risch told local papers that “a Bitcoin payment option is coming.”

A precise launch date has not yet been established. Although it is not part of the EU, Liechtenstein is geographically located in the European Economic Area and therefore the European regulation on cryptocurrency markets (MiCA) could be brought to the country. This could attract more crypto firms to Liechtenstein.
